1. Tempura Motoyoshi

Tempura Motoyoshi is a high-end tempura restaurant located at MinamiAoyama. But the store here at Daikanyama, you can try Shio Soft Maruju, sweet potato tempura topped softcream.

Shio Soft ‘Maruju’- ¥650 $6.15

The sweet potato tempura has charcoal salt sprinkled on top. The Tempura is freshly made and so it is best to eat it right away. The salt soft cream and crispy sweet potato is a great combination. The sweet and sour compliment each other but it still pairs well with each other.

2. Meat Yazawa Blacows

Meat Yazawa Blacows is a very popular steak and hamburger restaurant that originated from Gotanda. The Bacon egg burger comes in a premium box and uses premium Wagyu A5 meat. The bun is nicely toasted and has layers with the egg, bacon and the patty. The barbecue sauce and the special mayonnaise onions and relish puts all of the ingredients well together in the bite. Since they make it on the spot, it takes 10-15mins before it gets served.

3. Maguro & Deli Kadohachi

Maguro and Deli Kadohachi opened September 2019 and is a takeout fish shop. They sell fresh fish hot deli and bento boxes. You can mix and match to make your own sashimi platter.

Maguro Mille-Feulle- ¥1350 $12.80

Today we got the Maguro Mille-Feuille is layered maguro/tuna with mix of different parts of the tuna. There is Otoro and Akami, which is fatty tuna and less fatty tuna rolled up with rice. The mix of the two tunas goes really well with the rice and dipping with soy sauce.

4. Hachiya

Hachiya is a tea stand and offers a new style to enjoy Japanese Tea. Here you can see the person making the Sencha Latte.

Hojicha Affogato- ¥400 $3.80

The Hojicha Affogato is a mix of Italian and Japanese menu but instead of the normal Affogato with the espresso, the Hojicha tea is used. When you eat the icecream with the Hojicha syrup, the bitterness from the Hojicha and the sweetness from the ice cream creates an incredible combination. The Sencha latte has a foamy frothy milk foam on top of the Matcha. If you love Japanese tea this is a place you must go to!

5. Spring Valley Brewery

Spring Valley Brewery is a brewery in Daikanyama and they allow you to try different types of brewery with beer flight.

Beer Flight- ¥1300 $12.30

Even though it allows you to try 6 different types, it is very affordable with the price of 1300 yen. Since there are not many breweries in Daikanyama, it is a great place to visit on Friday nights after finishing work!

The Souffle Pancake shop, Gram Premium sells a new style of Soufflé Pancake and you can try their pancake cream sandwich, Hinyari Premium.

8. Surprice Nippon

Namuru Kimchi- ¥480 $4.86

Suprice Nippon is a modern sandwich and onigiri shop is produced by a food designer. The shop creates what they call Omusando or Onigirazu. Ishigaki has a big thick beef fried Katsu drenched in sauce.

The meat is very tender and goes well with the rice and seaweed. There are other options such as Namuru Kimuchi, which has Kimchi, egg, and pickled vegetables, wrapped in Egoma leaf.
