Hey, Naruto fans! I have a good news to you all!

FINALLY, AN ACTUAL NARUTO THEME PARK IS NOW OPENED!! (Well, it’s actually NARUTO x BORUTO collaboration theme park…) It’s called Shinobi-zato, and it is located in a huge park called Nijigen-no-mori, which translates to ‘2-D forest’ in Japanese. Nijigen-no-mori is in Awajishima, an island near Kobe. It takes less than an hour from Kobe, so if you are planning a trip to Osaka area, this place might be one of destination!

For you who love Naruto, let me go over the highlight of Shinobi-zato.

NARUTO THEME PARK | SHINOBIZATO HIGHLIGHTS

  1. HOKAGE ROCK

One of the highlights of Shinobi-zato is definitely Hokage Rock standing in the middle of the park. As a huge fan of Naruto, this just simply got me! It stands in front of the maze, which is one of the missions I will be talking about in a little bit.

Now how many of you can name all of the Hokage?

2. MISSIONS

Shinobi-zato has two missions, which are basically the main attraction of the park.

When you arrive at the park, you will receive two scrolls, Ten-no-makimono and Chi-no-makimono. Using these scrolls, you will solve quizzes like mission and maze mission. You only need to look at symbols and pictures to solve them so you don’t have to worry about language barrier.

Chi-no-maki

For chi-no-maki mission, you need to solve quizzes along the way.

You will encounter clues at each section. It is so much fun to experience and be a part of Ninja missions. Quiz is not too difficult to solve but I think it is enjoyable for both adults and children.

For the other part of missions, Ten-no-maki, you go through the athletic maze just behind the Hokade Rock.

It offers 2 courses to choose from, Uchiha and Uzumaki. Uchiha is more intellectual course, as you can kind of guess from his charactor, and Uzumaki is more active course. You can do both or just one. Each course takes from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on how well you do it. One thing you need to do on this mission is to collect stamps as you go.

The maze is VERY athletic and I really enjoyed it. I thought it was made for kids but I got kind of tired after Uzumaki course. You really need go up and down, so I recommend to wear sneakers or anything easy to move.

3. Real Life ‘Ichiraku Ramen’

This is definitely one of my favorite parts of NARUTO theme park, RAMEN ICHIRAKU! Yay! (I’m sure a lot of you expected this.) It’s not like in-door shop like in manga, but instead, you can use the tables outside.

They offer shio, miso and tonkotsu(pork based) ramen. We got tonkotu ramen and it was GREAT! It’s Hakata style as you can see white silky soup and thin hard noodles. If you don’t know, NARUTO is a name of the fish cake with swirl and the ramen bowl came with 2 slices of naruto in black and white!
